Yerevan Welcomes the World: More Than 60 Players from 7 Countries to Compete in the Renju & Gomoku Team Championships 2026
More than 60 players from seven nations gather in Yerevan for the World Team Renju and Gomoku Championship 2026 at Chess House, 8-19 August.
This August, Yerevan will become the meeting point of the international Renju and Gomoku community as players from across Europe and Asia gather in Armenia for the World Team Renju Championship 2026 and the World Team Gomoku Championship 2026.
More than 60 players, team officials, and guests representing seven countries are expected to participate in this prestigious international event, making it one of the largest Renju and Gomoku tournaments ever organized in Armenia.

Tournament Venue
All games will be played at the historic Chess House in Yerevan, one of Armenia's most famous venues for intellectual sports. Located in the center of the Armenian capital, the venue provides excellent playing conditions and a welcoming atmosphere for players and visitors alike.
Tournament Schedule
The event will begin on 8 August 2026 with an arrival day and optional sightseeing activities in Yerevan.
The World Team Renju Championship will officially start on 9 August 2026, bringing together national teams from across the world for several days of exciting competition.
Following the Renju tournament, the World Team Gomoku Championship will continue, ensuring nearly two weeks of top-level international play in Armenia.
